Shorebirds, Gulls and Auks

These are small-medium sized birds that live in aquatic habitats. They are mostly migratory birds. They have long wings, short tails and waterproof feathers so they can still fly when they get wet. Shorebirds can be found in all continents except Antarctica. They lay 3-5 eggs and feed their young through regurgitation. There are 84 species found in Canada the biggest being the long billed curlew.
